   Rabbi Aaron Gaber

Rabbi Aaron Gaber joined Congregation Brothers of Israel as its Spiritual Leader in 2014 after leading Congregation Beth Judah in Ventnor, NJ and Adar Chaim in Reisterstown. Having served congregations since his Ordination from the Jewish Theological Seminary, he believes learning about our faith, serving our community and helping others will help us live full and satisfying lives in the modern world. 

Throughout his career, Rabbi Gaber has been an active community leader by serving in both clergy  and communal organizations. He believes that a vibrant larger community will enhance the strength of his individual kehillah (synagogue). He has served on Jewish Federation boards, Jewish Family Service, Clergy organizations and a Hospital Ethics Committee. As a member of the Bucks County Rabbinic Council, he created the Micah Initiative for the 11th and 12th graders in our community, ensuring they remain Jewishly involved and learn to be leaders as they prepare for post high school programs. He is also the coordinator for the Introductionto Judaism class held each year in Bucks County. CBOI, under Rabbi Gaber's leadership is active in Interfaith Dialog and conversation

As a lifelong Conservative Jew, he grew up at Temple Beth Sholom in Manchester, Connecticut,  joined USY as a teen and throughout college served as an advisor and counselor for USY on Wheels.   He is a  NATIV USY Year program alum and attended the Joint Program at the Jewish Theological Seminary and Columbia University, earning degrees in Jewish Philosophy and Sociology.  Rabbi Gaber received his ordination from the Jewish Theological Seminary. In 2010, Rabbi Gaber was awarded the Mid-Atlantic USCJ's Aterer Kavod Award and received the Jewish Federation of Atlantic and Cape May County's Harry Cassman Leadership Award in April 2014.

   Rabbi Emeritus Howard Hersch

Rabbi Howard Hersch served as the spiritual leader of our synagogue from 1960 to 2007. He is a scholar, teacher and esteemed member of several Rabbinical Boards. Rabbi Hersch is active in many humanitarian and civic organizations, and has been the recipient of numerous awards for leadership and for his dedication to advancing the causes of the State of Israel, of the Jewish people and of all people in need. He is a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Rabbi Hersch has provided us with decades of cherished memories and countless acts of friendship and caring. It seems as if he has a personal connection to each and every congregant. His welcoming spirit has created an atmosphere of warmth and inclusiveness that enables newcomers of all faiths and experiences to feel comfortable as soon as they walk through our doors.

As our Rabbi Emeritus, Rabbi Hersch generously makes his wisdom, humor and compassion available to congregants in need.

Cantor jeff warschauer

Cantor Jeff Warschauer is a hazzan, educator and highly accomplished musician with a sweet voice and a friendly presence. Ordained by the Jewish Theological Seminary, Jeff has served congregations in NY, NJ, New England, OH and PA. Jeff is also internationally renowned as a klezmer mandolinist and guitarist, as a soulful singer and as a skillful and inspirational educator. One half of the Strauss/Warschauer Duo, he was a long-time member of the Klezmer Conservatory Band, and has performed with Itzhak Perlman, Joel Grey and Theodore Bikel z”l. Jeff teaches at Columbia University, and is a Founding Artistic Director of KlezKanada.
